Appendix I — One Realization of the Concept: the FtaDSL

The DSL is one of several realizations — not the concept itself.

The method takes an ibd as input — not a particular tool. This appendix describes one concrete, deterministic realization: the ibd written as text (FtaDSL), from which a tool mechanically derives the tree, enumerates the cut sets, and draws the IEC diagram. It is the realization that produced every tree in this book — but one of several; an existing architecture model serves equally well.
